Make workplace charging simple to operate
Users separated clearly
Access settings can distinguish staff, customers, visitors and fleet drivers.
Power shared intelligently
Load management can balance several chargers against available capacity.
Parking details planned
Bay position, signage and cable safety are considered before equipment arrives.
Decide who will charge and for how long
Workplace charging can support staff cars, customer visits, fleet vehicles or all three. Each group parks for a different length of time, so charger speed and quantity should follow actual use. We assess the parking layout, electrical capacity and likely demand before equipment is chosen.
A few well-positioned chargers may serve long-stay staff, while shorter customer visits can need a different approach. We also consider accessibility, signage, cable safety and how drivers will find the correct bays. If more electric vehicles are expected, routes and infrastructure can be planned with expansion in mind rather than squeezed in later.

Keep access and electricity demand under control
Suitable systems can restrict charging to approved users, record sessions and give managers useful oversight. Load management can share available power across several points, helping the site operate within its assessed capacity. We work from site survey and charging policy through equipment selection, installation, commissioning and user guidance. Before fitting, we agree access windows and any operational restrictions with the nominated contact. At handover, we explain how users start a session and how managers review the relevant controls, so the chargers don't become another unexplained screen in the facilities office.
Frequently asked questions
What charging speed does our workplace need?
That depends on how long vehicles remain parked, daily mileage, fleet needs and electrical capacity. Staff cars left for a working day may not need the same speed as short-stay vehicles. We use the expected parking pattern to guide specification.
Can only authorised staff use the charge points?
Compatible systems can restrict access through apps, cards or management platforms. The available method depends on the selected charger. We define user groups and control requirements before equipment is ordered so access works as intended.
Can we add more workplace chargers later?
Expansion may be easier when electrical capacity, cable routes and network controls are considered at the first stage. We discuss likely future demand during the survey and can plan a phased route where the site and equipment allow it.
