Choose capacity for the way you live
Future demand included
We consider planned EVs and other electrical loads when discussing capacity.
Safe location assessed
Electrical protection, ventilation and communications shape battery placement.
Backup explained honestly
We distinguish normal storage from separately designed power-cut support.
Move stored electricity into useful hours
Home battery storage gives you more control over when electricity is kept and used. With solar PV, it can retain suitable surplus generation for later. Some systems may also charge around a selected tariff schedule. We review household demand, peak use, existing generation and future plans before suggesting capacity.
An electric car, heat pump or change in occupancy can alter that calculation, so we ask what may change as well as what happens today. We inspect the proposed battery location, ventilation, electrical protection and communications. If solar is already fitted, we also check the inverter and system arrangement before confirming a retrofit design.

Understand normal operation and backup limits
Everyday energy shifting and outage backup are not the same thing. A standard battery may stop supplying the home during a power cut unless specific backup equipment and wiring have been included. Tell us if outage support matters, and we'll assess that requirement separately. Once the system is fitted, we commission the equipment and set up monitoring. Handover covers charge level, operating modes, schedules and expected behaviour. That means you can tell the difference between a battery following its settings and one that may need attention, without spending the first week prodding every button in the app.
Frequently asked questions
Can a battery work without new solar panels?
Battery operation doesn't always require a new solar installation. The suitable design depends on what you want to store, your tariff strategy and existing electrical equipment. We assess the intended use before recommending the battery and control arrangement.
Where can a home storage battery be installed?
The location must suit the equipment's environmental, access, ventilation and electrical requirements. We also consider cable routes and communications. We inspect possible positions during the survey instead of assuming a garage, loft or outside wall will suit every product.
Will my home battery provide power during a blackout?
Only if the selected equipment and electrical design include suitable backup capability. Many standard systems disconnect during an outage for safety. If backup is important, tell us which circuits or appliances matter so the requirement can be assessed properly.
